    @kkarhan @ubuntu

    Some examples of issues with flatpak -

    On my Linux pone, native deb apps will pop open the OSK when I touch a text box. Flatpak apps will not.

    On my main laptop, flatpaks often don't quite cooperate with themes, and features of my DE. (Can't think of an example off the top of my head, as I often find ways around this and forget about it)

    I wish, instead, we had picked one of the native ways and switched most the distros to that. ...except PPA, fuck PPAs.

      @hellomiakoda @kkarhan @ubuntu I’m still wrapping my head around flatpak, and the fact that there is technical crap that I haven’t learned bugs me, but in most cases I’ve found that the annoyances (like your keyboard thing) can be resolved with permissions management with a tool like Flatseal). Is there an equivalent for lin-phone? I like app isolation and security / blast radius protections. Seems like it could be easier to comprehend and better presented, though.
