No they did not. Did you read the article or the decision? They challenged the emergency injunctions by lower courts. (In their previous ruling, they states lower courts needed class actions in order to not violate the authority granted to them under the Federal Judiciary Act of 1789).
They didn't rule on birthright citizenship itself (which they shouldn't That honestly needs to be done by Congress) only that cases now need to be brought forward individually.
I generally agree with this legal stance. I'd be against SCOTUS ruling on the constitutional of the executive order, because the constitution (ArtI.S8.C4.1.1) grants that power specifically to congress, not the courts.
