     @Sovereign It doesn't have to be expensive. You don't need a radio to get your license, and when you get your first callsign, you get a huge discount on a handheld unit. I got mine for $35 with a better antenna and the programming cable.

     @tk That is one thing I'd like to get into one day. Not sure if it is worth it or not. Probably too expensive for a poor person like me for now.
