   Do not trust cloud infrastructures outside your judicial jurisdiction capabilities, especially if you handle sensitive information (personal data, PANs, competing business interests, etc.).

   This testimony confirms what people in the field of privacy already knew: it's nowhere nearly enough that these big companies have data centers in your jurisdiction.

     @RuiSeabra This is public knowledge, there have been court decisions striking down agreements between the EU and the USA because of this.

     @marado the admission has some years (2016?). It's just new "old" news that got swept under the rug for some years and resurfaced now because it shows that digital sovereignty is paramount today (and don't forget the EU is also trying to make data stay in the EU to be able to use encryption backdoors to access whatever they want under their jurisdiction).
