    so apparently valve updated their rules for steam saying they may ban games that "may violate rules set by payment processors or banks."

    can't wait for kitsune tails to be banned from steam when some US fuck decides to reclassify all lgbtq content as adult and immediately going bankrupt

    anyway uhhh get it while it's legal i guess? kitsune tails is 30% off on steam right now https://store.steampowered.com/app/1325260/Kitsune_Tails/

      @yon @eniko

      The monopoly isn't even the problem in this instance, its the payment processors being leaned on by discriminatory laws.

      The banks don't give a damn about the content not really.

      @eniko I feel this is a very legit reason to talk about store monopolies. Running a store is incredibly expensive and difficult. Hopes of seeing alternatives are slim (unless they are fully unmoderated and thus full of scams and piracy), so this is a massive issue.

      I expect corporations to be consumer and partner hostile, it’s what corporations do to maximize profits. But this is human rights, which is far more important.

      For once I hope influencers could scream, this needs attention.

      @inpurpleshadows @eniko Because government "obscenity" laws force them to.

      @eniko Wow, for a while I thought Steam would remain (mostly) unaffected by online censorship. Looks like I was wrong about that.

      Why do card companies have to ruin everything they touch?
