   @garbados my personal theory is, whiteness is not so much a thing as it is a hungry absence - a black hole that consumes what it touches and leaves you hungry. so the question I suppose is how do you replace it with a presence, without it just getting devoured and subsumed

     like i don't think it's meaningful or useful to say i, a pale euro, am not white, but i question to what degree i reify whiteness with my language about it, not merely with my body and behavior that were shaped by the world its project has induced. what language would illuminate the path to whiteness' destruction, and elucidate the nature that we will find after this blight has been expunged?

     idk. i feel like the language we use to talk about the personal and interior impact and effects of the political project of whiteness are... not great? am i white, constitutionally? is it something that has been done to me, or that has shaped me? do i elect into it? if i were to destroy whiteness, what parts of myself would i be destroying too?
