   @tobi @imp3tuz there was a Whole Big Thing where they started a hashtag for the donations, and then people started posting their mutual aid asks in the hashtag (since everyone was in such a giving mood on there) and then the folks who were fundraising for Kamala went full NIMBY and started reporting those posts for spam.

   Ended up defederating from several instances due to that bullshit. A whole saga fr.

   But long story short, she joined Threads and then lost the election. But fuck the poors am I right?? :binfire:

     @schratze @tobi @imp3tuz could have covered every mutual aid request on my instance several times over, with plenty left over. Could have funded so much community work on the fediverse. Could have done so many impactful and needed work instead of just dumping the money into the trash.

     And they were so disgusted and contemptuous that folks would dare try to use their hashtag for fucking survival mutual aid. I'll never forget it, I was so angry.

     @tillshadeisgone @tobi @imp3tuz and the money they raised was an absolutely massive amount that could have paid for several big mutual aid requests on here. But it was still just a drop in the ocean for the Harris campaign. Of course it didn't end up making a difference. What an absolute clownshow
