   Youtube Shorts are always showing me weird scammy clickbait shit where they set the poster frame to be something vaguely sexual. They're all like this for me, and if you check the vid what they're showing in the poster usually has nothing to do with the video content

     @feld @Nimbius666 There's YT Kids, but it's kinda garbage and full of clickbait videos full of ads for products so kids convince their parents to buy some crap. Last year YT had no problem recommending some Chinese Short of guys burning woman's hands and feet with hot metal grilles to kid accounts, so compared to that this is more tame.

     @feld This started before shorts, when there were those weird "Spiderman does this to Elsa" that were somehow showing up everywhere, clearly aimed at kids, but very very weird, with rather exposed cosplayers and, well, those spiderman guys.
     
     I dunno what's happening behind the scenes, but YouTube has been milking this weird but aimed at kids side of itself from at least 2015-2016, and it's always been off.
