@BowsacNoodle I drink very nice coffee every morning. If I drink coffee before lifting heavy I will 100% projectile vomit which I've been informed by gym staff is frowned upon. This does not happen when I pound a WHITE MONSTER 30 seconds before barbell squatting. I don't know what to tell you.

@John_Darksoul Coffee is like 2-4x the caffeine of energy drinks and more acidic with tannins.

@John_Darksoul huhWhite monster is 160 mg. My coffee absolutely does have 320+ mg of caffeine in a 16 oz.

@BowsacNoodle I don't know why people keep saying this, but I think it's one of those fake internet facts that keep getting repeated. 200mg of caffeine is pretty standard in energy drinks (that's what I look for in a preworkout energy drink). Your coffee does not have 400-800mg of caffeine in it.

@BowsacNoodle It's like a 15mg difference on average per cup. I literally have no idea where the 2x-4x number came from. It's never been correct.

@John_Darksoul It was my head math. Even if the caffeine content is the same, the additional vitamins and nootropics in energy drinks mean I don't drink as much throughout the day. It ends with me sleeping better and less insomnia.

@BowsacNoodle Only at the highest end of the spectrum. I can find energy drinks that are higher caffeine per oz too. It's a bad factoid.

At some point I realized that the main ingredient that I was benefiting from in Game Fuel was L-Tyrosine and so I started buying that in capsule form instead.
