     @Sirpantangelini @Zennagain You have to. Non-refrigerated food will spoil if it reaches certain temps, the humidity, the humidity and residual heat. Better to keep it on and kick it up a few degrees from normal.

     @Sirpantangelini @Zennagain My house has no shade trees anymore 😞. I have the windows to support no AC, but not the shade. Top floors cook.

     Plant some.

     Ive planted 50 trees in the past couple years.

     Fruits, nuts, sweetgum, willow, maples.

     I keep it set at 76 degrees. It's enough to keep the house cool without totally wrecking the electric bill. Even as it is the bill goes over $300 in the summer.
     No trees near the house. #1, leaves are bad for the roof and more importantly trees and hurricanes don't mix well.

     @KK954 @Sirpantangelini @Zennagain 76 is my "not at the house" temp. 74 is my normal home temp. I am a fan of ceiling fans, but my wife likes windows open and no AC. As long as temps stay below 82 in the house, I'm usually fine.
