    What?

    Is congress going to reclaim their testicles that have been MIA since the Korean war?

      @Sirpantangelini @viking congress holds the power for war declarations. nowhere in the constitution does it say you can just shirk it by calling it something else.

      they just stopped bothering to enforce that provision for like 50+ years :comfyglare:

      @icedquinn @viking

      He didn't declare war.
      He approved a military operation.
      If he does nothing else its all good.

      Calls for impeachment are from illiterate people and claiming its unconstitutional is incorrect.

      Military operation.
      Commander in chief.

      This was less than what we did in tons of places without congressional approval

      @icedquinn @viking

      Sure.

      All military action needs approval of 535 retards who can't bass single budget items.

      @Sirpantangelini @viking congress doesn't approve every action. they propose a declaration of war and upon doing that a significant amount of power is transferred formally to the executive.

      which, by the way, is how we did it for 200 years or so.

      you are just butthurt because you haven't actually read the damn thing.

      @icedquinn @viking

      Not actually.

      But either way, think of how stupid that is and a way to run a military.

      You are just butthurt cause you dont like what happened.

      Which is ok.

      It should have never been this way, going back to the 2001 defense authorization. A president should never be allowed to initiate a first strike ever without congressional approval.

      Ro K. doesn't have a chance of passing the bill because Congress wants this. They've always been lobbied to support Israel's war in a way that doesn't get their hands dirty.

      It was wrong under W. Bush. It was wrong under Obama. It's wrong now. Are you seriously defending American being dragged into a war where our soldiers will die for fucking Israel?
