     @zonk@shitposter.world so apparently they changed the policy without updating the website or the text on the sign and wouldn't let me on the bus because the bike rack was full, despite their being room on the bus

     @zonk@shitposter.world in the event that bicycle racks are full, this change allows bicycles to be brought on board the bus in-between stops.apparently they've thought of this at least!

     @nik yeah, most bike lanes here are pretty cooked, just a chunk out of the divider that runs you over storm drains (hope the city's done their maintenance) and suddenly ending at intersections. and we're considered a great bike friendly city. i shudder to think what it's like for you. good luck!

     @zonk@shitposter.world i actually do have a tolerable (illegal) route to downtown i take occasionally im just being stupid and considering a different route because i'm curious if the bus will actually take me across the local impassable bridge for free https://ridecarta.com/route32servicechanges2021/

     @zonk@shitposter.world i love that our state made it legal to bike on sidewalks if the road has no bike lane and the speed limit is over 35mph, but huge chunks of this route "the speed limit is 35mph" but everyone is going at least 50
