   Somewhat related to that last boost, we really need to stop introducing the fediverse by saying it’s “like email”.

   I don’t think most people have positive associations with email.
   “You can email anyone on any email provider” is like 387th on anyone’s Mental List Of Characteristics Of Email and will not be what they think of when you say fedi is like email.

   Even if they do think of that, all they’ll take from it is “it’s an unfriendly, uncontrolled space and you’ll get a lot of spam”

     @dale_price The fediverse is a hot tub filled with Linux, some dogs, and an infinite number of colorful cats.

     Not as catchy a slogan as some, but I like it.
