   The bible teaches that exacerbation is a sin ...

   Genesis 38:8-10, which involves Onan. In this story, Onan was instructed to fulfill his duty under levirate marriage by producing offspring for his deceased brother’s widow, Tamar. Instead, he exacerbated and "spilled his seed on the ground" to avoid fathering a child that wouldn’t be considered his own. God was displeased and struck him dead.
