     @sun @feld i changed the user agent to WhatsApp/2 which is what gleason used to bypass everything and it doesnt work. at all

     @sun @feld i thought it was youtube blocking us but i looked into it more, i even used an ssh tunnel to my desktop and they work fine. there's something wrong with the oembeds with youtube specifically

     @sun @graf yep OpenGraph / TwitterCards appear useless on almost every major website now because they seem to restrict it to only trusted networks with specific user agents
     
     This is why we really gotta let the client embed it in the activity

     @feld @graf we should do the same thing as cytube does: backend has a google API key, it makes authenticated request for the video information, and we embed it directly in the notice
