@henry Do not hitchhike in the US, you are going to end up robbed or dead in a ditch. You will be treated lower than the homeless and I wouldn't be surprised if people swerve cars to terrify you intentionally, I've seen it happen. -

Recently I asked some random Americans what they think about my idea of hitchhiking through the USA. Remember, last year I hitchhiked through part of Europe and was completely thrilled by that experience.
And here's the interesting part: most Americans strongly advise against repeating such an experiment in their country. They say it's dangerous. But I still can't figure out if it's a real objective danger or just a stereotype that's stuck in their heads?
So, right now I feel a bit confused. I don't want to give up the idea, but I also don't want to take any thoughtless risks. Does anyone have experience or a different perspective? #travel #USA #hitchhiking #adventure #safety #exploration
