     Yes, the more people you follow and who follow you, the more instances your instance will be connected to. That increases the posts you’ll be able to view on the Federated Timeline.

     @arnold sweet, thanks! Don't know if it's just me but it feels snappier haha btw I'm interested in knowing how we can get more content onto Explore, maybe we have to interact with people from other instances? Do you think it may have something to do with this instance "knowing" about other servers?

     Yes, I would happily approve of the relay mechanism. Mastodon.tech would enjoy a closer connection to your instance. Please teach me how to approve.

     @emanuel Yes, there's a relay mechanism. But in order for that to work, I'd have to know the admin of the other end to approve the relay. If you know any relevant mastodon servers and their admin, I'm happy to add it as a relay!

     I'll just pop myself in here...
     Yep, other software calls the "federated" (or explore) timeline "The Whole Known Network" - key word being "known". As your instance members follow more people, those remote followees posts will show up in your federated timeline.
     Simple as that really ?
