@sally @redstarfish There is a limited amount of free software on Android, as a free version of the SDK exists - replicant supplies a handful of free .apk's for example. -

Unfortunately there is no such thing as free software on Android, even if the devs claim otherwise, they're misleading at best or malicious at worst.
Software can't be free if the SDK and compiler required to build such is proprietary, which is the case with any modern Android "app". -

I was looking at the Wikipedia page of Bengali Input methods and android apps. The article claimed a version of Borno app, which supports many Bengali keyboard layouts, is free software. A little more investigation revealed that they develop a Windows version and that one is free software, and not android version.
