   There's a reason why post-Boomer purchasing power has declined.

     Three Recessions in Less Than Two Decades? A Millennial’s Lament

     In 2008, in the midst of the financial crisis, I was 17 years old. I wrote an article for my high-school newspaper detailing how my small-time babysitting business lost dozens of customers. But even at that early age, I could see the neighborhood effects rippling out from mortgage foreclosures, bank bailouts and more.
