   Sigh. The Giants continue their woeful play against the Padres. They had a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 9th. Doval lost the strike zone, emulating Miller, who had earlier lost the strike zone.

   Pitching was carrying the team. Tonight it isn't enough. Somebody needs to get hot at the plate.

   Padres 3 Giants 2 in 10.
