I have an idea for a video @BrodieOnLinux@mstdn.social
How AI is likely going to replace Linux Support Forums, because even right or wrong, AI seems more helpful.
Generally speaking, you waste time to register... i.e.... username, password, e-mail confirmation, make that 1st post, wait for approval, wait for someone to reply, and it often just ends up in a debate or someone gatekeeping.
Meanwhile, I can ask an AI and get real help. Often AI will give me the answer I am looking for. And even when it is wrong, which let's be honest - it can very well be, but so are people, and often that AI will still point me in the right direction. No debates or gatekeeping, just help.
People who turn to forums are already exhausted, and "stuck", and forums just make the process even more exhausting with their trivial nonsense.
