     @lucy @scathach webshit usually isn't that performance critical, having good concurrency is the most important aspect there. Lisp is more performant than the really common backend languages (js, php, python)

     @lucy @scathach yeah, it's kinda weird considering a lot of it is bespoke and the same company who comissions it runs it so they end up having running costs associated with horribly performing webshit. Ig storage and network costs just outweight that so mich it doesn't matter
