   @pleia2 I highly recommend a clear piggy bank for this because if your kids are anything like mine is then they will suddenly be really excited to put away lost buttons. (There's not nearly as much leftover change from international travel stuck in the corners of my house any more either)

     I'm not quite old or domesticated enough to have a place where spare buttons are kept, but I'm getting close.
