   “50,000 dead Palestinians isn’t enough to call it genocide.”

   How fucking morally vacuous do you have to be to for such a thought to even enter that privileged brain of yours?

   Forget the consensus of every genocide scholar out there that this is genocide. Forget the live-streamed suffering. How devoid of humanity are you for your argument to be “that’s just not enough dead people for me.”

     @HarriettMB @aral 50/60k is the number of deaths directly caused by war and recorded by the health ministry, they have names and records they can show. The figure also fluctuates because, I mean, they’re in the middle of a genocide. Conservative estimates from experts were putting the figure nearer 200k a few months ago. And neither of those count future deaths from the devastation and destruction. But that higher figure is an estimate, until Israel allows inspectors in we’ll never know.

     @aral It has to be way more than 50k murdered in Gaza. There’s countless numbers under the bombed ruins. Much of the documentation has been destroyed so how can numbers even be counted? That there’s dozens murdered every day, yet the number stays at 50k makes no sense at all. Personally I guess there’s at least one, possibly two zeros missing from that estimate.

     @HarriettMB @aral And that should explain why Israel is so intent on taking full control of Gaza. With full control we’ll never know the true extent of their genocide.
