   Is there a mechanism or means by which to automate data (post + uploaded content) deletion after X period of time on Mitra or other Fediverse instance softwares?

     @adiz Mitra doesn't support auto-deletion out of the box, but you can write a script that makes REST API calls and deletes old posts.

     @adiz Mitra implements this Mastodon API method:

     https://docs.joinmastodon.org/methods/accounts/#statuses

     You can get a list of your own posts using it, then delete ones older than X

     @silverpill I have zero experience or knowledge of that, but I will start reading up online about things like REST API and how one might write such a script. It's good to know that this type of thing is at least possible!
