@yogthos It really was a bit of culture shock when I went back to Canada over the summer of '24. I had to adjust SO MUCH, like actually lugging around large amounts of metal (coins) because the payment systems are so old-fashioned.

@yogthos These are SF's. And believe it or not, they're actually copying a bunch of local "last mile" delivery agents which have been trialling self-driving delivery vehicles for at least a year here in Wuhan. (SF is one of those rare logistics firms that handles its own "last mile".)
They have LIDAR of course because they don't have utter fucking morons making the engineering decisions.
