So awhile back I was on the phone with my mom telling her about a raid boss in FFXIV. I was explaining the spotlight mechanic he has, where you have to stand in a spotlight when the timer runs out or else you get stunned and take damage.

From the bedroom, @raccoon calls out and says "It doesn't do damage, it just knocks you out for a second."

Me: "....No, it definitely does damage, hun."

Him: "...what is this? Some kind of joke that I'm too tanky to understand?"

Ah the joys of being a tank main. As a healer, I can only imagine the bliss xD
