   @ErikJonker @gytisrepecka Decentralised onboarding doesn’t have to be centralised in order to be simple. If *the desire* was there, you could design a beautiful onboarding experience to distribute people onto different instances.

   However, if your goal is to grow your instance as large as possible and that’s your success criteria, this is how you would design it.

     @gytisrepecka @aral ...most users don't want to be bothered by all this, they just want an easy user experience, that should also be the starting point
