@Tutanota I question whether charts like this are actually helpful. There's an element of decision paralysis with this many choices, and even without that, there's no information to assess whether the alternatives offered are trustworthy - and lots of them absolutely are not.

(NTM many of the trustworthy ones are conspicuously missing... 🙄)

@Tutanota suggesting Brave *anything* considering their history and political leanings makes me feel like this service is deeply unserious 💀

@Tutanota is there a reason(s) why you're recommending Brave Talk and not Jitsi, since it's based on the former?

@mudaste @Tutanota Having Brave anywhere on this list, not to mention in places where it's "sketchy Brave-rebranded version of existing open source application", is a huge red flag.

@zer0unplanned @Tutanota @mudaste If I see a person or organization promiting Brave, that's a red flag because it signals to me that:

      1. They're probably heavily influenced by right-wing/"libertarian" coinbro circles, and

      2. They have no one LGBTQ on their team or if they do they're not listening to what an awful bigoted person the founder of Brave is or the origin story of how he came to found Brave to begin with.

@Tutanota Brave is a bad recommendation. The Ceo is a homophobe and nazi.
