by stealing rights from the rest of us? no, that's not cool at all, even if there was any relationship between distributors who exploit authors and readers imposing DRM and authors getting paid.
it's not theft when I lend a book to a friend, is it? it's not theft when I read parts of the book out loud to the class. it's not theft when I copy paragraphs for commentary. these are readers' rights that DRM platforms steals from us, on top of stealing control over our own computers from us.
