   i fucking hate conpetition anybody who likes it needs to watch some more friendship is magick conpetition is the opposite of friendly and friendship and nice it's mean and hurtful and belittling and we need to ban it why cant we just be nice to each other and not have to try and shove superiority into one another or put each other down? i fucking hate it. competition and competitiveness is downright absolute evil

     Competition can be healthy. Pretty sure Rainbow Dash is competitive, but she never shits on anybody (that I can remember).

     I'm not a competitive person, because I can't be bothered to try that hard, but it can be used as a cooperative tool to build people up.
     It only becomes a problem when we start tying our self worth to the competition. Ranking people as good or bad depending on their performance.
     It should be a place for friendly rivalries. To do our best, to enjoy victories, to shrug off defeats, and to get a drink after a match with our opponent.

     Only reason I say I can't be bothered to try that hard is I'd rather decide my own standards for myself and approach it at my own pace. Both methods work, depends on how you're built.

     @ube @pom I guess it's just a being very good friends thing? like vriska will destroy me at AoE2 in 1v1 whenever we play, but I have fun because she gets very happy with it, so it's fun for both

     @ube @pom Friendly competition is real, but usually it requires two people who enjoy both winning and losing with the person they have a rivalry with. I have this with a few friends in vidya.
