@xgranade this is going to be all that's left, for me
It's just kind of surreal, leaving a digital footprint after death in the form of various OSS repos and projects. I don't know why, it makes absolute sense, but it just feels really odd to encounter.
@xgranade is it? my influence on the world is both profound and more lasting than most material artifacts could likely be
@whitequark It's a sobering thought. For me, a few papers no one cares about any more (why, when you can make more money lying about VQE than actually building anything?)... I dunno, it's all really odd to think about.
@xgranade ah, but you see, i'm not doing it for power or fame. i just want the world to be better than it is. nothing can erase that, even if the memory of it might be fleeting on a cosmic timescale
