@bethsawin I mean there's been stuff showing us that for a long time, but I don't think there's any certainty that seeing it spelled out more clearly is giving us a good path to actually get there.

@bethsawin I don't think you're promoting accelerationism here, but there's a classic accelerationist narrative that "things getting worse will help everyone see that we're on the wrong path and help us somehow jump to the right one" and it never seems to work out that way.
