      My mother-in-law is the queen of pseudo-intellectually analyzing everyone, but it's all a cope. Every analysis is really about coping / protecting her own ego. The joke I make to my wife is "the real question is.... how does it effect her." When you look at it that way, it all falls in line.

      In this case, I also note that she is inpliedly admitting to engaging in the behavior she supposedly views as being the behavior of the tiny ego'd. It's projection and cope through and through. She's insufferable.
