   My #CherryLaurel on the terrace is turning yellow again, even though it's received several fertilizers 1), has enough water, and the warmer days are still ahead of us.

   As in previous years, my big question is: more or less fertilizer?!?
   Is there any way to tell?

   1) I have been using alternatingly blue fertilizer and guano and add my green tea and coffee residue several times a week.

     Coffee grounds contain a growth retardant. Add it to compost to be broken down but don't add it fresh to plants.

     Vine weevil grubs do a lot of damage to roots and are always a prime suspect.

     thank you for your advice.

     Fertilizer: I should be Mord precise. I' adding fertilizer spring, summer, Fall = 3x/year. I had been adding coffee and tea 3x a year, but have now stopped doing so.

     Yes, plants are in huge pots. Drainage is OK. --I mostly add water up to the brim of the "saucer" underneath, which uses the pots holes.--serves as a "most" against the ubiquitus ants, too. It is physically notpossible to have moist earth just 2cm below...

     @HistoPol I suspect it's too much rather than too little. Cherry laurels are pretty hardy and thrive on neglect. Agree with the person saying don't put coffee grounds directly on it. Follow the directions on the blue fertilizer-- several times a week seems like a lot to me, but check. Also sounds like it's in a pot? Check the drainage on the pot. Poor drainage kills plants. Keep the soil so it feels barely damp about 2cm below the surface. Laurels tolerate dry better than wet.

     ... surface ca. 2 hrs. after watering --the pots are too high.

     Don't know how else to calibrate water 💦, as the plants are so high now and there is rarely enough rain.

     As Lionel @lionelb had pointed out, and as I've found quite some leaves with bite damages, I've ordered #nematodes against the weevil, which arrive this week.

     @HistoPol @lionelb Oh if you've got bite marks on the leaf edges it's weevils for sure. Nematodes will help
