     @Tony @dsm Fun fact, you can rebuild indexes while the database is running. Performance suffers a bit but iirc there is a way.

     @pwm @dsm yup. I adjusted the settings and ram and it finished building in 5 seconds. It ended up being a 510mb index when I first did it the memory limit in that session was 4mb…that’s why it took 17 hours…

     @pwm @dsm I also learned about threads.
     
     I honestly didn’t understand CPUs before. I realized my home machine has been getting bogged down but I’ve been using 1/12 threads for the past two years. 😂
     
     When I turned clew back on the cpu and fans went insane and I realized we needed 2-4 threads the run.

     Some are quite modest, some are threadrippers. Queue is self-sorting, and real-time flag doesn't hit mpi at all.
