     Isn't withholding on overtime annualized, so additional taxes could be withheld if the check account x pay period in a year pushes the employee into a different bracket?

     @Frondeur @NotoriousDOG the only thing special about overtime is you get paid more per hour for that time. taxes don't change unless it's some state level thing

     i can think of one weird thing...since the companies would have been collecting the employee's share of social security tax etc...the companies can legally can hold it and collect interest on it for a few months...but that's a percent of a percent so probably not too important...

     Tax is the same. It increases for the employees based on what bracket they fall in. Company tax relies on sales regardless of overtime

     Annualization is a bitch. A person can get dinged for not making Annualized payments at the right time, and even if they over pay their tax liability for the whole year.

     Tell me about it. I aced all of my tax classes because I'm an autistic retard that used to read choose your own adventure books. There are some generally themes that underlie the IRC, but there's exceptions to. The code is highly compact with a lot of cross references as well and reading it requires a lot of red string.
