   Some people plan their dream vacations. I just spent my lunchtime planning my dream birding trip (Sumatra, mainly). Will try to fit that in next time I’m back in that part of the world

     I had the company of a friend who actually studies birds for a living. He was excitedly telling me about where to go and what new species have been discovered there.

     I said it’s so magical that in our backyard we have the sort of birding and nature that you would see in a nature documentary (I spent a lot of time in Indonesia and am very comfortable there). He said it’s even better than that. So now I’m excited

     Between Malaysian Borneo, Kalimantan and Sumatra, all places in very familiar and happy in, tremendous wildlife and nature opportunities.

     @skinnylatte my sister and her husband lead trips in Peru and Ecuador for bird photography, I really want to go someday! (When I can afford it...)
