A friend who works in ecology programming told me that since Murdoch's Fox takeover of National Geographic an editorial rule has been set that they won't do climate change stories.
In case you thought we weren't been fed lies by omission

@ronanmcd Disney owns NG?
I think you ought to correct your post, Allan.
It's not Murdoch's #Fox, but #20thCenturyFox, owned by #Disney:
"NG Media publishing unit was operationally transferred into Disney Publishing Worldwide."
A big difference.
@HistoPol @ronanmcd tell me what my post should say in your opinion.
"A friend who works in ecology programming told me that since 👉Disney Publishing Worldwide's👈 takeover of National Geographic 👉, completed in March 2019,👈 an
editorial rule has been set that they won't do climate change stories."
...to rectify forobvious facts.
However, your claim, though not implausible, is contrary to facts:
There are 2373 hits with "Climate Change" on NG's website, more than a dozen from 2025 so far.
@allancavanagh
No, your post says, "...Murdoch's Fox takeover of National Geographic...", which is doubly false. Murdoch has never been involved, Fox(News) is a mix-up of 20th Century Fox, and the whole story of your friend cannot corroborated with NG's current content.
*I* would delete the post, it cannot be fixed, IMHO.
Let's leave it at that.
@HistoPol @ronanmcd show me my specific post where I said that.
Here:
@HistoPol that is not my post.
Sorry about that, not sure, how this mix,-up came about, will check & correct the handle.
