   So I am changing over to a non-US based email provider from Google. I am genuinely surprised that I am finding quite a few companies that don't allow you to change your email address.

     A previous doctor's web site does not let me change my email address. I probably will not ever use the doctor again, since they are in another city. But it does mean I can't ever close that email account. I can't let anyone get hold of the email account because they could get into my medical history.

     Remember counter.social when the first Twitter exodus started? It still exists! And does let me log in and change my email address. Most recent post from someone I follow is from @suldrew on November 5, 2022.

     @kingrat when I was there, they were charging for features that come as standard on mastodon: like access to the fediverse. Is that still the case?
