   There's a HACS integration called Battery Notes which you can use to notify when a device does not report its battery level for a day or two. I still haven't figured out how to do something similar for wall-powered devices (like a heartbeat check).

     Just found out the humidity sensor in wife's atelier wasn't responding and therefore dehumidifier hadn't turned on in days 🥴
     
     Of course it was one of the remaining Homekit things that now just does not want to reconnect.
     
     Think it’ll be faster to make an #ESPHome sensor myself here than to understand why this proprietary crap is rebelling.
