TIL there’s also a PBS (#proxmox backup server) iOS app from the author of Proxmate Pro.

Pretty nice to keep an eye on your home DataCenter automated backups. InstaBuy.

Backing up .qcow2 VMs on #proxmox works fine but it takes space when doing the snapshot as it makes a full temporary copy of the disk. it’s ok for my usage and I like that I deal with disk image simple files.

Now that I have two working PBS instances and tested how quickly I can restore backuped VMs from the PBS DataStore onto any Proxmox host I may experiment with moving my VMs on LVM-Thin or ZFS - on a secondary external SSDs to avoid mishaps.

I am still quite anxious but far less than when I was young. I wonder if it’s the effect of years of therapy or it’s because now I can think “if I can hold up just 30 more years it’s done”.

Life is kind of its own mortgage.

@badnetmask@hachyderm.io @santi@hachyderm.io Mine is exposed but with no registration at all. At least I am sure nobody will come with nasty issues and pull requests 😂

I also have a gitea that I only use for myself. Those LXC in proxmox really make that a breeze.

ForgeFed (Forgejo federation) isn’t ready yet but once it is, it’ll definitely make self hosting your instance a better choice.

Those of you who host your own, how is it when you open registrations with approval ? Instant spam onslaught?

      [FEAT] implement federation
      from forgejo
This issue tracks the progress of implementing [federation](https://nlnet.nl/project/Gitea/) in Forgejo and Gitea. We're planning on merging federation into Forgejo first, then upstreaming it to Gitea. # Task list ## Discovery This is done. - [x] Nodeinfo endpoint [go-gitea@github.com/gitea#16758](https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/16758) [#19561](https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/19561) - [x] WebFinger [go-gitea@github.com/gitea#19462](https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/19462) [go-gitea@github.com/gitea#19133](https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/19133) - [ ] Delegation? (WebFinger responses to a different domain, kinda like what Mastodon does with its `WEB_DOMAIN` variable.

A tadinha sofreu despejo.

    https://www.locaweb.com.br/servidor-vps/
