   Thanks to everyone who answered.

   I think that an 8-syllable initialism is a challenge for most English speakers -- only 0.1% of English words have 8 syllables or more, and most are rarely-used scientific or technical terms. But it's possible.

   I also don't think enumeration is the only path to inclusion.

   Ultimately, though, I think it's up to the LGBTQIA+ community to decide on, so my opinion is less important. Happy to use the best current term.

   All said, I'm a yes, but.

     I also feel like the "+" as an etcetera undercuts the principle of enumeration. If we can just use "+" to mean "and so on", we should make it simple and pronounceable and just call it the L+ community.

     @evan I find myself wondering sometimes whether precision is intended or not. If you don't use the "+" is it supposed to be an enumerated list?

     "The LGBTQ community" seems intended to be broad and apply generally.

     But sometimes I've seen a single document swap between something like 2SLGBTQQIA and other times the more limited LGBTQ2S.

     How intentional is the distinction? Or is one just the short form for the other?

     @evan I mean, most people I know say “queer community” or something similar when not using the initialism
