@grillchen @bartholin vatican is ready for becoming more conservative again after Francis going all in to accepting the gays, which the trads see as unacceptable :floofWoozy_256:

@kaia The successor is likely to follow in Francis' footsteps. Of the 140 cardinals eligible to vote, 110 were appointed by him. We're going to get woke or diet woke.

let's see. towards the end, everyone hated on Francis.

a woke or semi-woke pope would mean that the trad opposition grows even stronger and next time there will be massive conservative backlash

damn... i was hoping they would start doing better now, however, i think even if a pope was liberal they would still be under pressure to give into the younger Catholic Generation, which i heard is much more Zealous than previous Generations.
i don't think the papacy can get away with spewing outright heresy for long, a lot of those newer Caths weren't always Cath, so they went out of their way to study, and won't take the popes word when it straight up contradicts scripture

@kaia Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before realising what you're doing isn't working. For now I can only hope whoever becomes Pope reinforces the teachings of the church.
