     EU is literally build on a slide of hand from an economic treaty all the way to a grand empire.

     And to support this slide of hand, they decided to push destructive ideology with tenets like "nationalism is always bad" (good luck building an army), "All people are born equal except for evil cis white men" and my favorite "We are a free society, except for freedom of speech, self defence, pursuit of happiness or family formation".

     So, I cannot wait for it to collapse. Maybe, people will think for 2 seconds before forming the new set of axioms for culture.

     My wife (Romanian w/ law degree) says that they appealed this in 200 courts and only one accepted. Since his ruling, the supreme court of Romania (the normal one, not to be confused with the constitutional court which is the center of this drama) has immediately accepted to hear the appeal. So it's generally believed that the supreme court will rule with the constitutional court.
     
     I generally believe that the EU is unlikely to last past 2030, and when it collapses, Romania is abandoned by The West and returns to eastern sphere of influence, as it was post-WW2.

     The US (USAID, etc) was behind all of this, all the way back to the Marshall Plan.
     
     Also: "sleight of hand" (pronounced like "slight"), don't ask me why, yours makes more logical sense.

     Myself I would have written "slight of hand" because that's the pronunciation, and with the exception of that one phrase, "sleight" is practically a dead word.
