   No people are just over estimating how much damage the attack has done. Really they just have to update the server and remove exploits from the code then redeploy. I don't see it being that devastating.

     @yomiel @bajax @anokasion I've quickly skimmed through the code. There are much more problems with it than just the exploit used. In it's current form it's unmaintainable. It might be better to rewrite from scratch, if they found someone that is competent at modern PHP. Someone on sharty ran it through static analysis and it threw over 100 warnings, which to me seems more or less legit.

     Sure, but as I said in my previous post: hiro still has the domain and the server infrastructure. This will not be the death of 4chan. Worst case scenario it comes up with some different board software.
