Since I post this from time to time, my #Linux recommendations for unsure newcomers...

    Newbie - Linux Mint
Newbie, or gamer who doesn't want to fiddle with it - Pop OS!
Confident user to power user, or Newbie on a secondary laptop who wants to explore and break/fix to learn - Manjaro
Windows user who only uses web and word processing and doesn't want to buy a new PC for Windows 11 - Linux Mint or Ubuntu (or it's flavors)

@BluesHarp I personally hate Fedora. I'll use it over Windows any day of the week, but it's pretty low on my list of distros

I use Fedora and it is pretty damn easy to use. Updates are a snap. My son and I did use Linux Mint before.

@BluesHarp It works well FOR YOU. My hatred is purely "I hate it for ME". It's still Linux, it's still foss, so if it's working for you, I'm happy you're using it

Interesting because it works great for me. No issues at all. Isn't that the point?

I can configure it how I like. I can install whatever I like. And the updates are very easy to do.

Sorry if I don't get why you would hate something that works very well...

I have no experience with Linux on Apple beyond Ubjntu for PPC, so I hold no opinion

What would you recommend as the best and safest site to download Linux Mint?
