@tillshadeisgone i think the answer is “yes,” but as a matter of ethics and rhetoric we have to carefully articulate what we consider “oppression,” or the frame becomes a license for dominant groups to preserve their place with violence. I suppose that’s a separate, parallel discussion about the need for the populace to get more than buzzwords

@tillshadeisgone (I grew up in the religious right, where cultivated grievance is intense and pervasive, so I had to spend a lot of my life picking through those kinds of distinctions to make sense of anything; My assumption is that any statement of principle will be warped in bad faith, so it’s not just about this particular issue…)
