wine somehow does run win3.1 stuff under winevdm still (on my 64-bit machine!! i have no idea how they do it, x86_64 emulator?..) but the installer is fucked
so i decided on a different plan
if you run `unblob` on the raw diskette images, it can recursively unpack the entire thing including the embedded LZH streams in their custom PAK format, and then you just need to fix up the directory structure
modern tooling slaps
nobody could have had `unblob` or `binwalk` in 1995
@whitequark w00t, haven't seen that image for some time
@erincandescent oh, you're right, thank you
@IngaLovinde which... thing
i am genuinely confused here. i hope it's something really horny or cursed
@whitequark of course, because it's only with the corporate social media and their moderation (way after 1995) people started using "unblob" as a way to get around automatic filters catching less euphemistic ways of saying the same thing
@IngaLovinde yes, i got that
but what would "to blob" mean
@whitequark this was a reference to "unalive" word which was mentioned on my timeline just half an hour before your post
