     If the Trump executive flies to El Salvador any Venezuelans detained, per the Alien Enemies Act, in northern Texas, we will have a flat out and direct clash between the Supreme Court and the Trump regime. 3/

     The majority of the Justices had so little confidence that Trump regime would not spirit more people to CECOT they took the unusual step of posting an order after midnight their time, before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals addressed the situation, and without waiting for Alito’s statement. 4/

     My money says they send another plane to El Salvador and then play dumb. "Oh, but you said *North* Texas. Technically these people were held in the northern part of central Texas...." "You said under the Alien Enemies Act but we shipped them out under this *other* pretext so it doesn't count!"

     Trump et al are the kid sisters who are constitutionally (in the biological sense) incapable of quitting the "I'm not touching you!" game until they get badly hurt

     @heidilifeldman My guess is Trump will shortly order them to fly them out, and someone will try to talk him out of it. If they fail, then some people will be stuck having to pick between the president and the court.
